Make Up Classes
Students may make up any missed classes during another class time at their level. With permission, they may also be allowed to take a class above or below their level as a makeup class. Only a limited number of makeup spots are reserved for each class, so please log into your Pirouette Portal and find the “schedule a makeup” button under your dancer’s current enrollment to save your child’s spot, or contact Tutu School in advance.
Pirouette Portal
In addition to booking makeup classes, you can use your Pirouette Portal to access and update your information, view all class and event bookings, view payments, manage payment methods, and adjust your membership status.
Tutu Policies
Thank you for your help ensuring all our Tutu students get the most out of their classes!
Class Membership
Your child’s class membership at Tutu School is charged in automatic installment payments on the first of each month. Class membership includes your child’s class tuition, unlimited make-up classes, and priority registration for special Tutu School events. Should you wish to discontinue your child’s class membership, please simply give Tutu School notice at any time during your child’s current month of classes that they will not be continuing the following month.
During Class
Please note, Tutu School is not a childcare provider and our programs are not intended for drop-off care. Please plan to remain close by in case your little prince or princess needs something. We do ask, however, that all observers respect the cozy atmosphere of our little boutique school, and REMAIN QUIET during class time. If your child is attending classes in our Tutu Toddlers division, a parent or guardian must be present during class, and caregiver participation is requested.
Refund Policy
Tutu School cannot offer tuition refunds, except in cases of extended illness or injury. In certain instances in which a child has difficulty adjusting to a class, Tutu School may allow unused tuition to be credited towards enrollment at a future date.
Tutu Dress Code
Baby Ballet & Tutu Toddlers
Students in our youngest divisions are invited to wear any clothes that they can move easily in, and should take class with bare feet or rubber-soled socks if they do not have ballet slippers. Adults participating in these classes should also wear comfortable clothes and bare feet or rubber-soled socks.
Exploring Ballet & Primary Ballet Prep
Tutu School asks students in its older divisions to wear leotards or fitted shirts with tights or leggings and ballet slippers. Please tuck in all drawstrings on slippers, and secure long hair away from the face as much as possible. No specific color or style of dancewear is required, and tutus and skirts are absolutely permitted – naturally!
Tutu Camps
Imagine spending fun-filled camp days exploring the enchanted and enriching world of ballet! On any given day at Tutu Camp, a child might take a ballet class, decorate costumes, learn the story of a famous ballet, or even take part in a production of their own creation.
Birthday Parties
Ballet Birthday Parties are the perfect way to help your little swan or Sugar Plum Fairy celebrate their special day! Each and every party includes a brief ballet class, a special birthday story featuring the guest of honor, a delicious cupcake picnic, and delightful party favors. Take the stress out of party planning and leave all of the work to us. Simply show up and enjoy the magic!
